A meeting of the Parish Council was held on Monday 9th August 2010 at 8.00pm in the Cator Hall

Present

Mrs M Curry, Mr R Neale, Mr R Howes, Mr D Brozyna, Mr L Haslam, Mrs S Wilson, Mr R Brown

Agenda

Planning:

Application  Number 10/00436/FUL (Amended)

Erection of a 54 metre high wind turbine and associated substation building

Coultas Farm, Kirklington Road, Eakring

The plans were studied and discussed. The generally held view was that with the Stonish Hill site in the immediate vicinity already approved and other sites in the local community also agreed, if this proposal was passed it would be ‘one too far’.  The Parish Council felt that the objections raised to the original proposal (outlined at the PC meeting 22nd April 2010) still applied.  The only amendment to the scheme was a minor movement of the site of the turbine nearer to the village for the benefit of bats.  The PC noted that it was interesting that it appeared within the scheme bats were given more consideration that people.

Mrs Curry called for a vote on the planning application.

For Nil, Against 7

There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.30pm.

Signed: R Neale 8/9/10
