A meeting of the Parish Council was held on Wednesday 12th Dec at 7.30pm in Cator Hall



Mrs M Curry, Mr R Neale, Mr D Brozyna, Mr R Brown, Mrs S Wilson, Mr L Haslam and 3  parishioners.

The minutes of the meeting held on 14th November were read.  It was proposed by Mr D Brozyna, seconded

by Mr L Haslam and agreed unanimously that these be signed as a true record.


Matters Arising

  1. National Grid are willing to site a shed (available from N&SDC) to store sand bags etc. L Haslam to
  2. obtain measurement and consult with National Grid again in early 2008.
  3. Highways have inspected the debris left after hedge-cutting on the road to Bilsthorpe.  They do not consider
  4. it to be a traffic hazard. Cutting has been done by landowner/contractor whose responsibility it is to clear up.
  5. Cheque for £300 received from Cllr A Stewart for new gate.
  6. Review of 30mph sign positions within village scheduled for 2010.  Cllr Stewart to be informed and asked for
  7. comments/help.
  8. Council will decide what action is required with regard to redevelopment of Kirklington Hall (old Rodney School)
  9.  when planning application to submitted.  Kirklington PC have asked for more details on wind farm application.

It was proposed by Mr R Neale, seconded by Mrs S Wilson with all in agreement that these accounts be paid.



The Clerk presented figures for the estimated expenditure for 2008/09 together with expected balances at 5.4.08. 

It was agreed that £350 should again be included for the election account and £950 to cover the insurance for Cator Hall. 

Clerk’s salary to be £690. It was agreed the Precept requirement for 2008/09 was £3350.


Any Other Business

  1. Postal Deliveries.  Concern was expressed re lateness of deliveries and non delivery on certain days.  Clerk to write.
  2. Complaint received re debris left on road after hedge cutting in village.  Item for Echo early 2008.
  3. Thanks expressed to Bartle family for seat on Kirklington Road.  Parish Council to sign paperwork eventually when ready (NCC).
  4. Complaint and concern re hole at bottom of drive at Chapel.  Mr L Haslam to talk with owner.


There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.30pm.
